SUMMER SERIES EVENT 2 – Wallygrunta
Walyunga National Park has bbqs, with a stunning backdrop of the Avon River! It’s a special park with our first taste of the hills we’re so lucky to have in Perth!
The location is amazing to bring friends, family and visitors. There’s abundant wildlife throughout the park, and easy sign posted trails for them to explore, while you’re having a blast on course! The start and finish, Walyunga Pool, is well shaded by the gums.
And we’ve got quirky themes! This one is Where’s Wally! Dress ups welcomed!
Which ones for me? Each event includes 3 distance options: Green, Blue, Black
Green Course – Walk or Run, All about Fun! Distances range from ~4km-6km and usually take up to 75 minutes to complete. A great option if you’re just getting into the trails/running, or coming back after injury/break. Get a mate, get into these and get ready for FUN!
Blue Course – You love running and you’re friends think you’re fit! You can comfortably run 10km in the city. Distances range from ~9km-12km and for most runners it’s ~90min+ time on trail. If you’re currently active and looking for a good time mixed with a bit of challenge, get a mate and do this together!
Black Course – For the experienced runners! Distances range from ~13km-16km These challenges can take a few hours! And training is key. You’ve gotta get in the training to enjoy these, so get your training mate and have some friendly accountability competition!
We provide course markings the whole way to help you stay on track! Flagging tape in trees and arrows guide you around the course so you can focus on your fitness and capturing the stunning scenery. We’ve got assistants at key intersections giving out truckloads of encouragement with high 5’s and Woohoo’s!!!
All courses see you starting and finishing at the same location. When you arrive at the finish (feeling like a champion), you” receive a hero’s welcome: You’re cheered in with funky entertainment, an awesome medal hung around your next, and served up The Magic PTS punch and refreshing fruit.
We’ve designed all our events to be amazing experiences regardless of which you pick. If you’re along for the entire series…Woohoo! Get excited and get ready for 3 months of awesome adventure! We encourage you to stick along on this journey for at least 6 months, and of course, for life. But don’t worry we make getting fit super fun!
If you’re here for 1 event you can expect a fun, challenging course. There’s a mixture of trail goodness: singletrack, firetrails, flats and hills. We’ll get into elevation in a bit. And if all of this is a bit confusing check out the beginners guide here.

The second race of the series gets you started on the serious hills. (If you missed Stay Puft, you can still start now, no worries!)
The tracks are mostly quite wide, which will allow easy passing opportunities and gorgeous views from the hilltops, particularly on the highest sections (the BLACK course naturally gives you more climbs, so more viewing opportunities). An abundance of kangaroos in this park may provide some happy distraction from your bursting lungs
All courses see you starting and finishing at the same location. When you arrive at the finish (feeling like a champion), you’ll receive a hero’s welcome! You’re cheered in with funky entertainment and an awesome medal hung around your neck!
We’ve got a professional team that works around the clock to make this the best way to get on the trails!
And we’ve got a professional aid team on standby if anything were to happen on the day.
Not only that, but we’ve got an awesome community that make our events so special.
Make this your next fitness thing. Trails are fun and open to everyone with options to choose from. We colour code our courses, because no matter
the distance it’s all a challenge!
And don’t worry, we care about your safety! We put flagging tape in trees, and arrows guide you around the course so you can focus on your fitness and capturing the stunning scenery.
