Welcome to the Summer Series! Everything you need for an awesome day is here! 🏃♀️🏃♂️
The word Walyunga translates to “Happy Place” and in “Where’s Wally” he’s always searching for that happy place. We reckon, joining a couple hundred like-minded, nature-loving runners on the trails is just that – our “Happy Place”. Throw in a fun theme, striped shirt, and there’s really no excuse not to smile or have an awesome morning!

Please connect with your fellow trail runners and organise carpooling in our Perth Trail Series (social group).
Please enter ‘Walyunga Pool Carpark‘ into your GPS device / Google Maps and follow the directions to find us.
Travel on Great Northern Highway, turning onto Walyunga Road, where it is signed for the National Park.
*IMPORTANT* Be mindful when using GPS device / Google Maps. The Great Northern Highway/Walyunga Road entry is the ONLY entry point for into the National Park for our event. We’ll be waiting for you at Walyunga Pool Carpark.
Walyunga National Park entry fees apply – please remember to make payment when entering the park. Pass the Entry Gate and continue to the two car parks. Walyunga Pool Carpark is where you’ll find the Start/Finish area.
Please remember to make payment when entering the park. Like to support WA National Parks and save yourself money? RAC members can purchase a WA National Park Digital Pass (Annual – one year entry or Holiday – 4 weeks entry) for 50% off the usual cost. A great way to enjoy the trails year round!
Race day can get busy with the whole Perth trail community out for adventure. If you need help or guidance there is always someone close by to help. Look for the Woohoo Crew.
Your system is a handheld bottle, or waist belt, or pack that holds a minimum of 500ml. All participants (yes, every course distance) MUST present their hydration system at Check-In to receive their bib. So save a walk back to the car and make sure you have your hydration with you at Check In / Bib Collection!
They aren’t permitted on course at our Summer Series events.
Due to National Park rules, dogs are not permitted at the Start/Finish area or on the course. We kindly ask that you leave your dogs at home.

We have a LOT of people out at our events. Please take note of the key info and important times for your course colour to ensure a fun filled morning! To check in and collect your bib please head to the tent that matches your course colour. Remember – your bib must be worn on the front and visible at all times. You MUST present your hydration system at Check-In to receive a Race Bib.
You will be provided with a race belt and number at registration on race day. Here’s how to put it on. At the end of the race, our crew will unclip and remove the belt for you.

To help the environment we do not use paper cups or plastic bottles at our events. You will use your hydration system to top up with water on course and at the finish.
You can also purchase a collapsible cup at the Merch tent! These cups are the best!
We strongly encourage you to remove the headphones today. There’s a lot of other users of the trail. Removing the headphones means you are aware of your surroundings.
Remember – your bib must be worn on the front and visible at all times
Because we’re a big trail community we wait until the majority of participants to finish for each course colour before presenting awards. We love when you hang out and enjoy the vibe at the Finish. Relax and have a chat while you refuel with food/coffee/drinks available at the finish.
We’ll have some fun games, podium presentations and spot prizes! But you’ve gotta stick around to collect* and cheer on your fellow trail runners.
*Please understand, we cannot post any prizes not collected.
Woohoo! Massive shout out and thanks to our sponsors!
We provide course markings the whole way to help you stay on track! Our blue flagging tape in trees and PTS arrows guide you around the course, and we expect you to follow the course markings at all times. Registered participants will receive the Event Brief email (with a downloadable Course Map) the Wednesday prior to event day. *Actual event day course may change – always follow course flagging on the day.
Run the Sun, and Walk the Shade! When it starts heating up, you may find yourself on an exposed bit of trail. Run this bit, and then to recover, walk the shade!
The Hills Are Upon Us: Shorten your stride for the climbs and keep those arms active. Use them as swinging levers to help you up the hill, not as dangling dead weights. When passing on narrow sections, be sure to call out to the person in front “On your right!” or similar. The person in front should move over when/if it’s safe, but should never have to launch themselves into the bushes to get out of someones way.
If caught littering or short-cutting/cheating, Disqualification (DQ) applies.
Minimum 500mL hydration must be carried for the duration of the event and it’s a DQ if you’re caught without it. If you want to run without hydration there are great footpaths in the city 😉
Bibs cannot be given to someone else to participate on your behalf – your bib, your identity. If you did not enter this event, you aren’t allowed to run the course on the day. This is called “ghosting” and will result in being refused entry to future PTS events.
We highly discourage headphone use at this event – it is a risk to your safety.
Woohoo and have fun while on course, keeping in mind that trail etiquette is key at all PTS events. Look after each other out there!
Woohoo – thanks for coming out! Sunday arvo your results will be available here.
Monday we’d love you to share your photos/videos in the Perth Trail Series (social group). You may even feature in our post race email!
Wednesday check your inbox for the Event Recap – including results and photos!
