First Time to PTS?
To help the environment we do not use paper cups or plastic bottles at our events. You will need to use your PTS collapsible silicone cup to access water at Top Up Stops and the Start/Finish area. If you don’t have one, head over to Merch tent and grab one for a race day $5 bargain.
Drop Bags We’ll have a marquee near Bib Collection for you to leave a drop bag. Bring along something warm, and a towel to dry yourself off, so you’ll be feeling fresh while cheering in your fellow trail runners!
Double Black Course Drop Bags: Double Black Course Runners – please bring a clearly labelled drop bag, this can be accessed between Lap 1 and Lap 2. Please follow the PTS Crew instructions on event morning for access to the Double Black Drop Bag area.
Black / Blue / Green Course Participants – there will be space set aside at the Start/Finish area for your drop bags.

Because we’re a big trail community we wait until the majority of participants finish for each course before presenting awards. We love when you hang out and enjoy the vibe at the Finish. Relax and have a chat while you refuel with food/coffee/drinks available at the Food Trucks.
We’ll have some fun games, spot prizes and announce all the giveaways. But you’ve gotta stick around to win and cheer on your fellow trail runners!
We provide course markings the whole way to help you stay on track! Our blue flagging tape in trees and PTS arrows guide you around the course,
and we expect you to follow the course markings at all times. Registered participants will receive the Event Brief email (with a downloadable Course Map) the Wednesday prior to event day.

Carpooling: One of the best things about these events is the community of runners! You guys! Woohoo! A great way to get to know each other better, is to rideshare. It’s good for the environment. It’s good for accountability. No sleeping in when you’ve got 3 other runners to collect! It’s good for directions – 1 person navigates, while 1 controls the tunes, 1 keeps the convos flowing and 1 does the driving.
Some Rules To Remember
- Disqualification (DQ) if caught littering or short-cutting/cheating.
- Minimum 1000mL hydration (Double Black) or 500mL hydration (Black/Blue/Green) must be carried for the duration of the event and it’s a DQ if you’re caught without it. If you want to run without hydration there are great footpaths in the city 😉
- Bibs cannot be given to someone else to participate on your behalf – your bib, your identity. If you did not enter this event, you aren’t allowed to run the course on the day. This is called “ghosting” and will result in being refused entry to future PTS events.
- We highly discourage headphone use at this event – it is a risk to your safety.
- Woohoo and have fun while on course, keeping in mind that trail etiquette is key at all PTS events. Look after each other out there!
Woohoo – thanks for coming out for Truth or Consequences!
