Winter trail running, with the same awesome vibe and fun. The Winter Series consists of 4 exciting trail running events in Perth’s hills. With distances ranging from 5km to 50kms there is something for everyone – from the beginners to the pros!

The first three events include 3 distance options: Green, Blue, Black

Our final event includes 4 distance options: Green, Blue, Black, Double Black

Green: Walk or Run, All about Fun! Distances range from ~4km-6km and usually take up to 75 minutes to complete. A great option if you’re just getting into the trails/running, or coming back after injury/break. Get a mate, get into these and get ready for FUN!

Blue: You love running and you’re friends think you’re fit! You can comfortably run 10km in the city. Distances range from ~9km-14km and for most runners it’s ~90min+ time on trail. If you’re currently active and looking for a good time mixed with a bit of challenge, get a mate and do this together!

Black: For the experienced runners! Distances range from ~15km-25km These challenges can take a few hours! And training is key. You’ve gotta get in the training to enjoy these, so get your training mate and have some friendly accountability competition!

Double Black: For the very experienced runners looking for the ultimate challenge! Distances range from ~30km-50km These feats can take all day! And training is key. You’ve got to train to complete these, so get your training mate and a program because you’ll need it!

A thrilling competition that will test the endurance and skill of runners from across the state. Hosted by Perth Trail Series, this championship series promises to be an unforgettable experience, featuring a series of four exhilarating events set against the breathtaking backdrop of WA’s diverse landscapes.

The Trail Running Championships consist of four events spread across our Winter Series. Each event will challenge participants with varying terrains and distances.

Runners will accumulate points based on their performances in each event, with the ultimate goal of being crowned at the series’ conclusion:

The WA Trail Running Champion💪

Scheduled to kick off at Snakes N Ladders, 26th May, the championship will attract top trail runners as well as amateur enthusiasts looking to push their limits and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or new to the sport, the Trail Running Championships offers something for everyone, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among participants.

Choice of 2 distances: 10km and 21km

How this works for CLUBS:

Runners must indicate their club on the sign up form.

Clubs will accumulate points based on their performances in each event, with the ultimate goal of being crowned at the series’ conclusion:

Simply put, Get your club involved for more chances to win!

All your points for the season will be added to whichever club you have assigned when the final points are being tallied.

  • Club points are awarded for every finish and are tallied using the Age Category points. This means that it’s not necessarily the clubs with the fastest runners that will win. Clubs with most consistent involvement across a range of Age Groups are well placed to take out the title!
  • The clubs with the most points in will be awarded the title and a prize to share with their members.
